Aberdeenshire Golf Courses

With over 50 Aberdeenshire golf courses to choose from it's a golfers paradise with championship courses like Royal Aberdeen and Cruden Bay and Trump International Golf Links.

One of the 6 courses that we feature is the fabulous Royal Aberdeen championship course, Balgownie Links. One of the top golf courses in the world, the front 9 holes are regarded as one of the toughest 9 holes in golf. Host to the British Seniors Open in 2005, the Walker cup matches between USA and GB & Ireland in 2011 and latterly its first European Tour event, the Scottish Open in 2014 won by Justin Rose.

Murcar Links is another fabulous track located just north of Aberdeen and has also hosted a European Tour Event, the Saltire Paul Laurie Matchplay event as well as several prestigious Boys and Girls events and the Scottish Amateur Championship. This Par 71 course has a CSS of 73 which shows how tough it plays.

Just 5 miles further north at Balmedie is the most recent addition to the area, Trump International Golf Links. Already it has rave reviews and is a stunning layout. Without doubt Trump Aberdeen will hold championships in the very near future.

One of my favourites Cruden Bay is a little further north, some 26 miles from Aberdeen. A fabulous layout that is not too long with dunes and hills. Cruden Bay is a regular in the top 100 courses in the world as it is what links golf is all about.

All the aforementioned courses are all very well know.

The same however, cannot be said about two hidden gems a bit further north from Cruden Bay, Fraserburgh and Peterhead.

Both are fabulous links golf courses with very competitive green fees and well worth playing if in the Aberdeenshire area.
