Kittocks Course

Kittocks Course

The Kittocks Course at Fairmont St Andrews, lies a couple of miles south of St Andrews en route to Kingsbarns Golf Links.

Set within a stunning 520-acre location, the Fairmont St Andrews Hotel offers 36 holes of spectacular championship golf on the Kittocks Course and the Torrance Course.

The Kittocks Course was originally named The Devlin after its architect, Australian golfer Bruce Devlin, but after major renovations it was renamed The Kittocks.

Locared on elevated ground next to cliff tops, many of the holes offer magnificent panoramic views over St Andrews Bay taking in Carnoustie and the Angus coastline to your left and the coastline of East Lothian to your right where you will find Muirfield, Gullane, Craigielaw and North Berwick just to name a few.

After a gentle start to the round it starts to get really interesting at the long 4th hole that is played over a very deep gully.

From the 5th hole onwards you have views of the sea from almost everywhere and the finishing stretch from the 12th hole to home is pleasant but as demanding as you will find anywhere.

These views also ensure that the Kittocks is one of the most scenic golf courses in Scotland. It is hillier than its partner The Torrance, therefore it offers the options of electric carts and caddies.

A round over the Kittocks Course would be a first class inclusion in the itinerary of any Scotland Golf Packages.

It would be further enhanced by making a day of it at Fairmont St Andrews Resort by including both the Kittocks Course and Torrance Course in your itinerary.

After your round visit The Clubhouse and enjoy its spectacular panoramic views along with a drink or something to eat in superb surroundings.
