Monifieth Golf Club
The Monifieth Golf Club was founded as far back as 1858.
There is a reference to golf having been played at Monifieth as early as 1639 in the Kirk Session records.
Monifieth has 36 holes of fabulous golf. The Medal Course has been used for Open Championship Qualifying.
The shorter Ashludie Course is an insteresting track and there is a choice of 4 Clubhouses available for visiting golfers.
The head green keeper has carried out a 3 year recovery programme which has led to the Medal Course being in excellent condition.
The courses have well grassed narrow fairways, with lush semi rough, penal heavy rough and fast consistent greens.
Add in deep revetted bunkering and Monifieth is a test for any standard of golfer.
A morning round over the Medal course, lunch then a round over the Ashludie course with dinner afterwards in one of the Clubhouses and you have a perfect way to spend the day.
Be sure to include a day at Monifieth Golf Club during a Scotland golf trip.
