Montrose Golf Club
The Medal Course at Montrose Golf Club is one of the most natural links golf courses in Scotland and is consistently in Golf Monthly World's Top 100 courses.
The Royal Montrose Medal Course has been described as "a magnificent stretch of marvelously natural ground".
The Medal Course challenges golfers with undulating fairways, deep bunkers, gorse, large sand dunes and fast but fantastic greens and the difficulty increases when the wind blows in from the sea. A new set of blue tee areas have been introduced to make the course more enjoyable for the higher handicap golfer.
With a number of holes running alongside the coastline, the views are magnificent.
Montrose Links has a second course, the Broomfield Course which although shorter than Montrose Medal, is an ideal course to play in the afternoon after lunch for those wishing to spend a day at Montrose Links. Just to the west you will discover Monifieth Golf Club and Carnoustie.
If possible try to include a day at Montrose Golf Club on a Scotland Golf Trip.
