Nairn Golf Club
Nairn Golf Club nestles on the southern shores of the Moray Firth and is one of the most popular golf courses in Scotland. It ranks 11 in the top 100 golf courses in Scotland.
Created from a Highland wilderness of gorse and heather, which tests the talents of professional and amateur alike.
Founded in 1887, it is now one of the best golf courses in Scotland, and has hosted a large number of important championships.
Nairn Golf Club is a private members golf club and the club consists of an 18 Hole Championship Course, 9 Hole Cameron Course, the Clubhouse and Practice Facilities. Visitors are most welcome.
One of the truly remarkable features of Nairn Golf Club is that you can see the Moray Firth and the golden colouring and changing lights of the Black Isle from every hole. You can also hit the ball into the sea on every one of the first seven holes.
When you are not playing into a strong westerly wind, the layout of the course leads you in gently before demanding accurate driving and precision second shots.
All of the four short holes are cunningly angled, the 4th being a little gem and the 14th simply spectacular. Add in three of the par 5 holes at over 530 yards long and you begin to see that it is a test for all.
The Nairn Golf Club has now been awarded No 11 in the definitive list of the Top 100 Golf Courses in Scotland 2015 (Golf World Magazine)
With Nairn being one of the top golf courses in Scotland it makes a strong case to be added to golf travel packages to Scotland.
